Why I’m running for Governor

I know what it’s like to live in a trailer, I know what it’s like to live in an apartment and I remember the remarkable feeling earning the keys to the first house I ever lived in. I want to be sure that the opportunities for the success that I have known in my life are available to every Georgian. That is why I am running for Governor. Big opportunities, not big government, is the answer.

I hope that you’ll join me on this journey. As Governor, I will lead on jobs, regulatory reform, infrastructure, tax reform, and most importantly, I will ensure that Georgia has a workforce that is second to none.

I will lead on jobs, and I will do all that’s necessary to create 500,000 new jobs in my first term with a three part plan. I will work with Georgia companies to ensure they have the tools they need to grow and expand. I will travel near and far to recruit new companies to Georgia from across the country and the world. And we will create an environment and recruit the capital to make Georgia the best place to start a new business—we will make Georgia the Silicon Valley of the South.

I will lead on tax reform by cutting taxes by $100 million in the first 100 days of my administration. That money is better spent by you, not the government.

I will lead on regulatory reform. My very first initiative as Governor is to establish an economic development liaison that will work with companies large and small to streamline the permitting process in order for companies to get up and going quickly and later, expand efficiently.

I will lead to make sure that our conservative values are never infringed upon. Georgia is great because we realize the power of God and family and because we cherish the most vulnerable lives. We have lead on the fundamental rights of every American to protect themselves and that will never change under my leadership.

This cannot be done by one person alone, however. Now is the time for conservatives from every corner of our state to unite. To come together behind our shared values and lead Georgia to a more prosperous future.
